SP Grid linked LiDAR tracking with spatial audio and reactive visuals at an event in a CoSTAR programme helping music venues explore new formats and better understand audience behaviour.
The MASS live event held at The Bath House in Hackney Wick, London was developed by Bluman Associates
A crowd-tracking system, spatial audio and responsive visuals have turned a music venue in Hackney Wick, London, into a stage-free performance environment.
CoSTAR National Lab used Stage Precision’s SP Grid platform to connect LiDAR audience tracking, d&b audiotechnik spatial audio, Disguise media servers and Notch-generated graphics for MASS, a live event developed by Bluman Associates at The Bath House on 7 March.
The project was one of four technology-enabled live experiences developed through CoSTAR Futures: Grassroots Venues, an R&D programme examining how technology can help independent music venues develop new formats and better understand audience behaviour.
